At Font Mavens, we specialize in font engineering, type design, and project management, with a strong focus on variable font technology.

We collaborate with Google, contributing to Google Fonts and leading project management for the Google Sans Flex branding typeface. Sharing knowledge is also an important part of our practice, through talks, workshops, and industry events.

The studio is led by Marianna Paszkowska, a font engineer and type designer with extensive experience at the intersection of design and technology. Since 2021, Font Mavens (formerly Creative Minds) has been providing consulting services in font engineering, type design, lettering, and calligraphy—helping clients bring complex typographic projects to life.

Previously, Marianna worked at Monotype in Berlin, where she supported the development of custom typefaces for global brands, as well as retail fonts from the FontFont and Monotype libraries, with a particular focus on variable fonts. She also completed an internship at Dalton Maag in London, where her interest in font engineering first took shape.
